Oddly True and Truly Odd

It has been very interesting this past week. Since the election, most reasonable people have settled into the idea of Senator Obama being the next president. There is more of a focus on individual and particular issues, and discussion on how those issues will be met under the new administration. Talk of the historical signifigance of this election has begun to fade, Sarah Palin is making the rounds of all the talk shows and South Park did one of the funniest episodes yet by building a script on the premise that the entire campaign was directed towards stealing the Hope Diamond.

Sounds probable to me.

No, really....think about it...a 10 year conspiratorial plan to steal the Hope Diamond and not to win a presidential election in 2008. Listen, it would make the nomination of Sarah Palin a lot more understandable from a strategist point of view. In fact, it would make some sense out of the nomination of John McCain.

It would also explain how a political nobody with little real experience on the national, let alone international, stage is now the Leader of the Free World.

One thing that is going to be tough - apparently, anyone making any Obama jokes will be considered dirt.

This will only last a short while, though (I predict) because if there is one thing America loves to do more than making a hero out of someone it is destroying them, piece by piece.

Any minute now the tables will start to turn and the newsmedia will begin to tear at him, a bit at a time.

It is going to be interesting to watch.

I better get back to work. Gosh, I am so tired this morning I could spit.

NO SPITTING!
