I don't think it's a perculiarly female trait, though, as much as it's a human tendency to seek safety. Whatever safety is. For some, it's bluff and buster because that's how they've always shielded themselves. For others, it's hunkering down in the bomb shelter.<BR/><BR/>And it's hard, for me at least, to sort out what's a real reaction and what's driven by fear so deeply ingrained that it might as well be hard-wired.
